Make plans today to attend the Natural Resource Discovery Rendezvous!

Relive history at the 2008 Natural Resource Discovery Rendezvous and explore Southwestern Wyoming. Discover the history of Bridger Valley, Wyoming and its’ role in settling the West.

Gain Knowledge and confidence in using the outdoors as a classroom in areas of agriculture, plant and soil ecology, forestry, water monitoring, enterprise diversification, alternative energy, rangeland management and local history – all at the foot of the captivating Uinta Mountains.

Investigate enterprise diversification at the Valley Buffalo Company and get up close to the newly established wind farm. Grab your galoshes and join us at the Black Fork River to learn hands-on
World Water Monitoring Day activities.

Have fun, while learning new and innovative methods to bring the outdoors to the classroom, while meeting state standards, with hands-on engaging activities.

Grab your sleeping bag and stay in rustic cabins at the Uinta County Youth Camp, enjoy delicious meals and join the cowboy laughter with poetry by the Profit Family and Friends.

The Rendezvous will....

Provide objective and quality materials that specifically integrate agriculture and natural resources with the classroom.

Empower counties and educators to utilize the Natural Resource Discovery Tool Chest through hands-on, interactive sessions.

Help participants gain knowledge and confidence in exploring the outdoor environment with students, teachers, and community members in areas of agriculture, plant/tree life, animal habitat, soil identification, water quality, and riparian areas.

Provide an environment to share ideas, resources, and knowledge with others interested in educating students about Wyoming’s agriculture and natural resources.

Provide assistance and training in assessment and data collection for educators.





Registration Fee: $30.00 per person**
Registration Deadline: May 10, 2008
Location: Lyman, Wyoming

**Registration will be refunded upon
completion of the Rendezvous**

The Natural Resource Discovery Rendezvous is applicable for credit through PTSB and the
University of Wyoming.

  • Two (2) UW NASC 5959 credit hours available for $40.00 per credit hour tuition.
  • Two (2) PTSB Renewal credit hours are also available. at no cost.

The UW registration form will be completed
the first day of class and payment for
credit hours will be due at that time
