Wyoming Agriculture in the Classroom (WAIC) is pleased to announce its 11 th Annual Exemplary Teacher of the Year and Ag Advocate of the Year Award Contest. We are looking for outstanding individuals to honor for the 2007-2008 school year. Each year, WAIC honors these individuals to show them support and admiration for the efforts they make in educating Wyoming’s youth about agriculture and natural resources.

This year, we ask you to help by nominating an exemplary individual or team to be recognized for higher creative efforts who teach students about the importance of agriculture and natural resources. Both applications are included in this packet. Please choose an individual or team to nominate, or pass this information on to someone who can make a quality nomination. If you have more than one person you would like to nominate, please visit our website at www.wyomingagclassroom.org to download more applications.

Each winner chosen will be honored at a benefit BBQ during State Fair in Douglas, Wyoming. There they will receive a personalized award and $300.00 cash. Winners will also be honored at a ceremony in their hometown where a plaque will be given. Teachers chosen for Teacher of the Year will automatically be considered for the Agriculture in the Classroom, National Teacher of the Year Award.

It is an extreme honor to be chosen for a Teacher of the Year or Ag Advocate of the Year award. Help us in recognizing Wyoming’s best educators of Wyoming’s youth.
